Jail Visiting

Visiting for inmates is held in all facilities every day from 8am to 3:15pm and from 7pm to 9pm, however visiting signups end at 8:15 pm, and no visits will be signed up after that time. At the North Annex, and probably at the main jail as well, people start lining up for visitation in the five o'clock hour and it's nearly impossible to get in at all if you're not present in said line before 6pm. The visiting week schedule is from Saturday through Friday, but individual prisoners have a more limited visitation schedule that depends upon their "pod" or cell block. Each inmate is allowed two, half-hour visits per week in which up to three people may be present at the same time on the other side of the glass. Inmates may place up to three names on their visiting list and inmates may change these names at any time. Anyone wishing to visit an inmate must have their name on the inmate’s visiting list, and must be at least 18 years old. Children of an inmate who are under 18 do not need to be on the visiting list, but must be accompanied by an adult whose name is on the visiting list. All visitors must be able to present valid identification upon request by jail staff, and will be required to leave cell phones outside the building and other personal possessions inside a locker at the facility. Attorneys are required to remain with their inmate/client until officers return the inmate to their jail housing unit.
